More Photoshop, and other video tutorials @ fictionalhead.com
[PRESS DOWNLOAD TO DESKTOP, THEN UNZIP THE FILE TO WATCH] Please forgive the compression artifacts and such, I had to compress the video a lot to get it a usuable size for online distribution. Just pay attention to the mouse movements, and the audio narration, and you should be fine. This is a 30 minute long video (which requires divx, if you dont have that, get it here: [link] ) This video covers some basics of hacking up photos to make the kind of abstract image collages like in the preview. It covers some file saving information and other general stuff along the way, too. So it may be a beneficial watch for those of you who may not think you _need_ to watch it. If you have any questions, please leave them here. If they're in reference to the video, please leave a time signature (like 24m34s), so I can find the specific point you're referring to. Hope it helps some people. CommentsThank you. That was pretty helpful. Sadly enough, I didn't know that about the pen tool. I've been cutting the hard way LOL I don't name my layers either, waste of time.
-- raw photography \\ gallery // This is absolutly amazing... But dont give all yoursecrets away
-- Andrew Munro\\=nuxeon | ~PsychedelicArt | ~Magicka | ~3d-studio-max | HHAHA.. Im like that too.. Then you get a finished product thats like 30 layers and they are all named 01,02,03, Copy of 23... it isnt pretty.
-- Andrew Munro\\=nuxeon | ~PsychedelicArt | ~Magicka | ~3d-studio-max | cool, i could learn more about this type of medium..
FYI you could have used Camtasia studio, and did the exact same thing, but when you save the whole movie, ou can export it as a .wmv and the resolution could be alot larger, and the file size will be the same, or lower, thats what i used to do when making video tutorials. anyways, +fav. -- [link] <my own website! awesome tutorial.. I've never thought of using the Pen tool for extracting. I always used quick mask, or just a normal mask. I normally ignore the Pen tool in Photoshop, and only use it in Illustrator, but from watching you, ill have to now pratice and try it out a few times. See if I am faster that way.
One quick question though, what Resolution DPI you use? I noticed it's in the triple digits.. -- --bee .. "Stupidity is no excuse for incompetence." --bee |
