Sounds pretty fun and makes you wanted to think more in your mind.

Though, there is no "Game Over" screen appear when there's only one leftover block or the monster eating the wrong number. So you have to restart to do it all over again.

I'm just worried they've blocked dA though. They block anything with blogging capabilities and "fun" and things like that. But at least she could send them home with the link. Hopefully you'll be a hit :)

If it is blocked (I have 3 teachers in my family, I know all about it), you can just play it here: [link] off of my personal site. Whenever I send links to my teacher brother/sister, those load fine.

Awesome game, quite addictive! Can't for more!

As a small idea but I do not know how hard or impossible it is to be implemented: what if the denominator would be very small at start and would grow after each number eaten?

Sorry about the triple post, it's late and I forgot something else, I love this game, everything about it, the only problem is I want to hear the sound effects without the music, the music is cool but after several hundred loops you can see how it would lose it's impact. Volume sliders for sfx and music would be awesome, or at least separate mute buttons!

I think it also needs an element to separate the high scores a little more somehow, perhaps a timer... otherwise the scores will all be pretty much the same.

To avoid having multiple controls for the music and sound effects, I might just make the button triple-clickable with notifications. From On, to just sound effects, to off. Or maybe a menu with options for other things where you can set it.

A quicker reset is something I wanted to address as well. I had quite a time trying to get all the information I wanted crammed into this design, I think I might redesign the look a tad if I make a version 2.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hmmm, could have sworn I added some comments about adding a trashcan to reset the level rather than having to open the menu all the time but apparently it didn't post. :dohtwo:

Another idea would be a simpler reset, perhaps a rubbish bin you can throw nombers into and it recycles them back into their original forms or just clicking the trash resets rather than having a menu for it just to speed things up a tad.

The whole thing is really awesome. The music could either do with a volume slider or it's own mute as I love the sound effects and the music too, but after a while the music is a bit repetitive.

100 levels, almost 100% (2 hints) I think I'm the first (non-tester?) to beat it.

I am working on Super Om Nom Nombers which uses much larger numbers / harder puzzles. Life just keeps getting in my way of finishing it.

I dont think its to hard per-say... just some of the difficulty seams to have been shuffled around. Having played though it one and a half times (I'm Jaryth and Test) the questions do not seam to be randomly generated... and yet they start off easy, get quite hard then get easy again for the last few dozen questions, then get a bit harder right at the end. With 3 minds working on it (see my other comment) the hardest questions BY FAR (the ones we had to use hints on) where the 3-5-5-5 ones where you need to make 21 or whatever it was... we got stuck on that for so long, even after getting the hint.

If there is any way of getting feedback metrics from the game (like logs for example) of how long it takes people to complete a question, how many tries they take, or when they ask for Answers/Hints, I would suggest reviewing the data, and shuffling some of the harder questions closer to the end.

Regardless though, it was challenging enough that even at 5am, my roommate, friend and I kept wanting to "Do that one last question" XD. Simple but effective game, well done sir!

I think the fact that there are multiple solutions to any given problem makes the "hardness" factor move around. Which I guess is both good and bad. Some people can look at one I find hard, and get a solution in a snap. So in that regard, it's kind of impossible to make a series of levels which get markedly harder and harder.

The levels are made up ahead of time, though, with at least one possible solution in place. I probably could write it up to make them randomly, but to me a scoring system is kind of pointless if everyone is served different questions.

In future versions of the game I think I'm going to factor the time spent on a question into the scoring, and also do some testing on which questions take longest to spice it up.

Again, thanks for all the feedback, I'm glad you like the game.
