Beautiful shot, and kudos for going out in such obviously Arctic conditions. I love lighthouses, but I don't know that I'd be brave enough to take pictures of them in those temperatures! I love the angle of this photo.
My what a chilly outpost. Great cropping and a fitting format for the shot. The composition really leads the eye towards the light house. Clear diagonals, the pier divides ice from water.. Excellent with the crisp ice chrystals in the air and the seagulls (flying ice popcicles) soaring above.
Wowww... for some reason this just strikes me as THE smashmethod picture. I think it's because it just looks so surreal, like a lot of your digital pieces... but then it's actually real. The fact that it's sunny out makes it almost eerie, but also beautiful and a little ominous. The way the birds/snow very subtly dot the sky adds a huge amount of dynamism to the shot, cuz it makes it feel like there's a really sharp wind.
