The Edge Of The World Party by smashmethod The Edge Of The World Party by smashmethod
Album download and additional information now on Fictionalhead.com

As a whole, the album is more melodic than I originally set out to make, but as it all came together, I've grown quite fond of a couple of the songs. The style is "techno" I guess, though you're urged to DL the album sampler to see what the music really is like. It has a lot of piano/strings/breakbeats.

If you DL the music, please at least leave a comment or a thank you. I'd love to hear feedback from people on what they're favorite, or least favorite tracks are, but any feedback is good.

If you go to DL, and it doesn't work, that means the server throttle came on... just wait like 20 minutes, and try again.

(For those of you who DL'ed the single "Descending The Candy Cane Umbrella" from my journal earlier, You'll probably want to pick up this version with the CD, as it had a couple minor tweaks to it since, and the tags and all the info on it are right this time.)

Thanks in advance for any comments/feedback.

I only have ONE of the pieces, Beyond The Dark Life.

If it were vinyl, I'd have ground it to pieces listening to it through the needle so many times by now. I'm very glad it isn't. It's a shame you've taken down the older music of yours. I'd love to have them.

I made the mistake of picking just one piece from each album, before you took them down.

I regret it bitterly now. I've downloaded EVERYTHING I've gotten my hands on after listening to those old ones a thousand times over.

Some I can no longer find.

I ask you to please put all the older music back online as well, or sell them as CDs, or anything else. I want to love to pieces all the other tracks as well.

Yeah.. uhhhh...

I've deleted all the songs I downloaded last time: and I couldn't help but notice that none of the links seem to be working; and that the "Artist's Comments" section failed to explain this.

I really love 'Judging Mosman'. Soundtrack to my nights when I'm coming home on the Tube. :)
Brilliant album artwork also! Fresh, bright and clean.

Tracks 1 & 3 are still my favourites, although I really like the beat of track 2. The melody on track 2 is so light and playful, it seems almost trite. I don't know why, but I can't really connect with it. Great work, overall. I'm really impressed with your music. =D

Thanks. I actually made track 2 with a bass filter on the amp. Wasn't until after I had mastered it out that I realized, turned the filter off, and was like "woah, this track is kinda huge." Left it anyways, bass is alright in excess every now and then.

just finished listening to it.

favorite tracks are:
- Decending the Candy Cane Umbrella- i like the beat of it. The sound reminds me a bit of alice in wonderland... I imagine the white rabbit scurrying around to the music.
- Forward or Backwards- The words feel familair and yet not (deja vu type thing) and the piano-type music really carries the song through
it fits together nicely
and
-letters from home

i actually can't place a finger on why i like this one... i just do

Downloaded everything tonight, and from what I've heard so far (Album sampler and Forward or Backward), it's fantastic. I'll listen to the rest tomorrow and let you know which I liked the best, since this is what you're asking everyone else. But it's superb so far :D

(And if you're wondering why I didn't just wait until tomorrow to comment, this is kind of also a way to get back to your page, and this deviation in particular. I mean the link to this that'll be in my 'Activity')

Sorry for the delay o_x First week, my brother decided to upgrade my computer, which didn't work so well. The second week, well..alright, my fault. XP

As for a favorite song of mine, I think I'd go with Sneaker Pedal or Ride With The Lights, simply because I enjoyed listening to them the most. Not to say the rest were bad though; I actually enjoyed the entire album, and it was nice music to have on while I was writing. Something to listen to, but not something that would distract me from what I was doing, so I could actually get some stuff done.

This album is very well done, and you should be proud of the work and music you've created. Awesome stuff :D

It sounds smooth....like it would do well if there was a jazz collaboration... i most definately think it could be played on WNUA95.5 (a Chicago radio station) or any other smooth jazz station. Nice work....

There's two different locations to DL the music, and the throttle comes off in a short period of time. Just DL them and burn a cd yourself.

First i would like to say that the cover rocks. the cds looks awsome

next i would say that all your music rock. some rocked more, some rocked less

The best one is, with no doubt "Descending The Candy Cane Umbrella" while the worst (sorry, but you need critique) "My Neighbor Bubbles". i cant explain to you why i dont like it, i just dont... all the others are great.

If its ok im gonna seed this at the next big Lan party, i will tell you how many downloadet it. It will be tommorow, and i will be back sunday.
I will be more then happy if you gave me permission to give this to others

Btw
*whispers* this is the first legal music in my music folder... scary */whispers*

Distribute it all you want. I thought for sure the 2 interludes are by far the worst tracks. Though technically, they're not really songs.

well you came with little late answer so i did it anyway... and i must say that it was the most pupolar cd at the lan :D

on the big sound system track 2 was played all the time and that is not my choice, i just showed them the cd.

This is a major step for you, you should go contack somebody and get this out on the streets

Track 2 is definitely the most bass-filled track. not my fav on the cd, but bass is bass. I've got another CD with similar styles on the way... have about 6 more tracks to fill up.
