Artist's Comments

Alrighty guys and gals, it's that special time again.

Time for a brand spanking new album, full of equally spanking new tunes. This time, from the collaborative-creative brains of Dan Meyer and Anthony Schellhardt. Also known to all you cool cats as Floating Couch. We bring to you this 14 track collection, of breaks, booms, clicks, clacks, and crunches. An experimental endeavour into music, cranking out track after track of drum-heavy goodness. Below, are links to the entire album, free for download. If the links don't work, please leave a comment saying so, and try them again in about 30 minutes.

The release of The Twenty-Eighth Cadence marks the first of a soon-to-be series of collaborative musical efforts from Floating Couch. Starting as a small snowflake of electronic drum loops being passed back and forth, The Twenty-Eighth Cadence eventually snowballed into a highly experimental exploration of drum patterns, melodies, soothing passages, and total chaos. From insomnia to intergalactic exploration and total madness, the listener is bound to feel a wealth of different things while giving the album a listen. So sit back, relax, kick your feet up and take flight with Floating Couch.

I must say from my experience with the album, the tracks do tend to slowly creep in on you. It takes a couple listens to really wrap your head around the sound, and process the album fully. I know now, after many listens, I'm much more proud of the material as a whole. So even if at first pass, you're only slightly amped about it, keep it, and come back to it some night when you need BG music and try it again. I have a feeling it will grow on you.

Visit the website: floatingcouch.com for more information on the band, and the album (with DLs).

Listen to all the tracks, not the entire track.
Some songs were just hard to listen to for 4 mins. They just felt like they were 4 min loops at times. And got old after the first minute.
Though I must say some were good while others just forgetable.
Top three:
Clatterbuck
Into Madness
The 48th Parallel

Wow, you surmised about 57 minutes worth of material in about 6 minutes.
